Statement:

It is usually easier for people to accept images that are expressed in narrativity. I try to break the regular habits of visual expression and expand the possibilities of photographic practice. I photograph a device made by everyday objects. And I use digital technology to further digest the materiality of photography. This is also my increasingly serious attitude towards the world “labeling”. I object to such a rough classification. Although the image may seem to describe a specific object, it loses its functions of stimulating and describing after the narrativity is removed. And language projection is not allowed. This becomes more confusing and arouses the curiosity of the audience. The project shows my interest in how a single illuminant shapes to construct space and the art of completely dissociated description from real objects. To some extent, this is a moment of abandoning rational fortification and devoting yourself. Many people immediately become blind after withdrawn the rational narrative image. However, the world we see is only a projection of perception, not its true image. Rational withdrawing means observing the world from a more diverse perspective. Consequently, I create a fantasy image that is nonperceptible, without narrative function, and not easy to describe.
