Statement:

The instinct of man is to chase after the thing that escapes from him, while escaping from the thing that chases after him. When adopting the word “escape”, we’ve presupposed that life is not that free. To be honest, life is complicated and full of turbulence. Yet, man demands the sense of security while pursuing freedom. Accordingly, we must make a choice in face of such a situation. As far as Sartre is concerned, choice itself won’t bring any pain or trouble, while the consequence arisen from the choice is the root cause of our anxiety. Therefore, what we escape from is not the thing that oppresses you, but such a fact: the possibility that our choice brings.

⼈的本能是追逐从他身边⻜⾛的东⻄，却逃避追逐他的东⻄。当使⽤「逃避」这个词时，我们已经在预设⽣活没有那么⾃由，⽣活是复杂且充满动荡的，⽽⼈向往⾃由同时⼜需要安全感，于是我们必须要对此做出选择。在萨特看来，选择本身没有痛苦，没有烦恼，但对由选择⽽引起的后果负责却是令⼈焦虑的根源。所以我们逃避的往往不是那些表⾯上压迫你的事情，更是在逃避这样的⼀个事实：选择带来的可能性。

我通过采访了解到不同的年轻⼈正在逃避的事，置景重构⼀个能够展示这些状态或事件的场景，拍下照⽚，再将它们交到本⼈⼿中进⾏⼀种物理性的从相⽚中的“逃离”。我选择⽤拍⽴得拍下我主观想象中的“逃避”动作以暗示——能逃避的只有逃避本身，并如⽂献般地附上被访者本⼈的陈述⼿迹。
